Everything's Coming Up Hostas!
Hostas are starting to come up around the yard :). I love this plant... so many incredible varieties and sizes, low maintenance, gets bigger every year, and can be easily divided and transplanted.
Fortunately, slugs have never been a big problem (I know for some they really can be).
My friend Lachelle and I made our annual trek to Wiethop's Nursery to look for annuals...
I was happy to find almost everything I wanted for the planters by the front door.
Purple millet grass...
Heliotrope - a plant I've wanted to try out for quite a while now...
New Guinea Impatiens (I love the dark foliage on these and when it flowers, the blooms are incredibly vibrant and huge!)...
I overwintered the aspargus fern inside and grapped the airplane plants from some plantings inside too. The only thing I didn't find there was creeping jenny. I'm sure I will find that easily at Walmart or Lowes. I'm hoping these will get enough sun to survive and thrive this summer.
