Pillow Sleeve

I've had this pillow lying around for awhile (major score at Crate & Barrel after Christmas clearance)

I wanted to jazz it up a bit, but didn't want to do anything permanent... soooo I choose some Amy Butler fabric and made a "pillow sleeve". This is an extremely simple way to jazz up a pillow - and yet still be able to change it down the road.

I am REALLY wanting to update the bedroom, so I guess this is a good place to start. My dream room has silver sage walls, the popcorn scraped off the ceiling (fortunately Jason is a PRO at this!). I already have the curtains (chocolate chip color). New flooring would be nice, but the bathroom we're remodeling is absorbing any extra moolah right now. I need to paint the dresser and put new hardware (aka knobs) on the bedside table - oh yeah, I might paint them too. I guess future posts will show the progress.

Here is the pillow in its new home. (Jason made the headboard a few years ago.)

(Recognize the quilt at the foot of the bed ? :)

(I also found those silk blue pillows at Crate and Barrel - I think they were originally $50ish apiece for like $5.99).
