A foot through the ceiling is worth...

Ah... Remodeling. Can't live with it, can't live without it. At least that seems to be our motto - I wish I could say lately - but really it is pretty much since we've owned a home.
I was in Paducah (Kentucky) helping my Mom one weekend, when I got a call from Jason. He said he had gone through the kitchen ceiling (we are remodeling the upstairs kid's bathroom). I guess one small step for mankind, one giant hole in the ceiling.

I was glad to hear that just his leg went through, not his entire body. Jacob was reportedly at the computer when it happened. Jason heard, "What the heck!?"

I had no idea what to expect when I got home. But, this is what I found...

Actually, it was a bigger hole than that. It was kind of nice to just look up and see the person standing in the hallway upstairs. No intercom necessary :).

We do now have a subfloor up there. Still not a complete kitchen ceiling. I will keep you posted on the progress.

Oh my goodness! How very scary! (And convenient.) So glad no one was hurt.

Homes are money pits. But I sure prefer it over paying rent!

That is so funny---Yes, I heard about it at church---but pics say much more than words sometimes.
